Monterey, California – Things to Do in 9+ Hours

Day 2: 9 Hour Tour + Dinner

If you have a full day to see Monterey and the surrounding area here are some things you should check out. Our tour begins from the Hotel Abrego right near the heart of downtown Monterey, CA.

Driving Directions for Dinner

  • El Estero Visitors Center – 401 Camino El Estero, Monterey
    • Start off at the Monterey branded visitors center and get any additional information you may need for your stay
  • Drive down Cannery Row
  • Drive along Ocean View Boulevard in Pacific Grove
    • Lovers Point, Point Pinos Lighthouse, Pacific Grove Golf Links
  • Drive 17-Mile Drive through Pebble Beach (there is a $10 fee)
    • Stop at the Lodge at Pebble Beach to experience the fabulous view
    • Continue the 17-Mile Drive through Pebble Beach
    • There are lots of points of interests to stop and soak in
  • Drive through Ocean Ave. in Carmel-by-the-Sea
  • Drive to Carmel Valley
  • Drive to Carmel Valley Village
    • Experience wine tasting rooms (the # of wineries you hit will make this tour longer)
    • Favorite tasting rooms: Joyce Vineyards, Talbott, Holman Ranch
  • Drive to Salinas Valley via Los Laureles Grade
    • Drive through Oldtown Salinas and past the Steinbeck Center (stop in if you have time)
  • A little refresher at the Hotel Abrego
  • Finish the day with Dinner at Passionfish in Pacific Grove (reservations needed)
